The curator’s father, Tom George Heartfield, the only son of the Dada artist John Heartfield, cherished everything that pertained to his father. The Heartfield Exhibition owes a great debt to Tom Heartfield. Tom Heartfield’s legacy forms the bulk of the exhibition curator’s collection of Heartfield video and historic material such as photos, postcards, documents, and writings.
Thanks to John Heartfield’s devoted son, The Official John Heartfield Exhibition offers a growing collection of never-before-published Heartfield videos of the courageous anti-fascist artist in his later years. The Heartfield Exhibition also features video documentaries and features.
