“Speaking of priorities,” he said, glancing at the office door.
“I’ve seen enough of those two,” said Treeves. “They’re not imminent concerns. One has too much discipline and the other not enough initiative. Unless Elio calls for them, they’ll stay outside. We have sufficient time.”
“Sufficient time is always a plus.”
Treeves ignored the word play.
“Our task is to locate the target who just spoke with me as quickly as possible,” he said. “He’s on this floor, in one of the ten offices that surround us. He’s a fanatic, willing to die, and armed with biological weapon potent enough to kill every living thing within half a mile of this building.”
