John Heartfield’s stay in England begins in an internment camp. It ends with his futile pleas to remain in London for the sake of his health and his work.

During his time in London, Heartfield meets Gertrud Fietz, the woman who would become his third wife.

These years have an enormous effect on Heartfield’s health and his legacy.

The Chronology section will always grow. Please check the Exhibition's Networking Sites such as - Facebook, Twitter, Exhibition Blog - for updates.
